For Dead & Company's second Vegas Sphere residency, I created this sequence to celebrate sixty years of the Grateful Dead, building a fluid, ever changing archive incorporating the tape covers from hundreds of bootleg recordings over the years. A continuous 5 minute camera move takes the crowd into the molecular structure of the bands 'Steely' logo, revealing the vast array of tapes forming the structure, in chronological order. Several other initial tests also displayed above.
